Before you book — the short version
Everything you need to decide is on this page. Here it is in six lines:
- Who can rent: every driver is 25 or older with a valid license, and the renter has full-coverage personal auto insurance. After you book, text a photo of your insurance declarations page to 252-564-4218 — we hold your dates while we wait.
- What it costs: $1,338 flat for a full week, any vehicle in the fleet. $202.50 a day for 3–6 days, $225 a day for 2 days, $325 for a single day. A refundable security deposit is held on every rental — $300 on multi-day, $200 on one-day — and released 3–7 business days after return.
- One-day rentals: not bookable online. Use the one-day request form; requests open two days before pickup. One-day rentals are non-refundable, rain or shine.
- What’s included: the Currituck County (Corolla / Carova) beach permit and the Cape Hatteras National Seashore ORV permit, a portable air compressor, tire pressure gauge, jack and jack board, shovel and tow strap. Free parking for your own car while you’re out. Dogs ride free.
- Pickup: 2101 Colington Road, Kill Devil Hills — we share a driveway with U-Haul. 7 AM to 8 PM, seven days a week.
- Cancellations: full refund minus a $25 processing fee if you cancel more than 72 hours before pickup; a $225 fee inside 72 hours. A named storm forecast to hit the Outer Banks, or other dangerous weather, gets a full refund on multi-day rentals, deposit included.

Online booking is for two-day rentals and longer — one-day rentals can’t be booked online. You can still use the search to see what might be open on your date, then lock it in with the one-day rental request form.
How to book — three steps
- Tap FROM and pick your pickup day. Tap UNTIL and pick your return day — two days or more.
- Tap Search, then Book now under the vehicle you want.
- Enter your name, email, date of birth and phone, tick the box, and pay the $300 deposit. Your confirmation email follows.

How to Reserve Your 4x4
Here’s how it works:
- Step 1: Fill out our online booking form (or for a one-day rental within 2 days, use the one-day form).
- Step 2: After you book, text a photo of your insurance declarations page (full-coverage personal auto insurance) to (252) 564-4218. This is required to secure your reservation — your dates are held while we wait.
- Step 3: Receive your booking confirmation with pickup details.
- Step 4: Pick up your fully-equipped Jeep at 2101 Colington Road, Kill Devil Hills (7 AM – 8 PM, 7 days a week).
- Step 5: Hit the beach!

We require proof of full-coverage personal auto insurance (liability, collision and comprehensive). We verify coverage before pickup.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel more than 72 hours before pickup, you receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. Cancellations within 72 hours of pickup incur a $225 cancellation fee. Dangerous weather: if a named storm is forecast to hit the Outer Banks, or other severe weather makes the trip unsafe, multi-day rentals get a full refund, deposit included. Contact us as soon as possible. One-day rentals are non-refundable, rain or shine, no exceptions.

Every driver must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver’s license, and the primary renter needs full-coverage personal auto insurance.

We accept credit cards and debit cards. A $300 refundable security deposit applies to all multi-day rentals (credit or debit) and is released 3–7 business days after vehicle return. One-day rentals have a $200 refundable security deposit.
