Open all year, 7 days a week, 7am–8pm for reservation holders. Weekly rentals are our best value and our specialty. Every Beach4x4 rental includes Corolla & Cape Hatteras beach parking passes, an air compressor, a shovel, and a tow strap.

About 1-Day Rentals

One-day rentals are $275, picked up as early as 7am, due back by 8pm the same day. They cannot be booked online or more than 2 days in advance. Call or text (252) 564-4218 and send proof of your full-coverage auto policy to bret@beach4x4.com — we’ll send an invoice.

If we’re fully booked or your date is more than 2 days out, check with Outer Banks Jeep Rentals or Island Jeep & Car Rental, who book further in advance.

Why Weekly Rentals Are Our Specialty

At $1,338/week, our weekly rate works out to just $191/day — significantly less than per-day pricing. Most OBX visitors stay for a full week, and a weekly rental gives you the freedom to:

• Catch sunrise and sunset on different beaches.
• Take multiple trips up to Carova to see the wild horses.
• Drive south to Cape Hatteras for surf fishing at Cape Point.
• Take the ferry to Ocracoke Island.
• Avoid the stress of trying to fit everything into a single day.

Insurance Requirements

All renters must provide proof of full-coverage personal auto insurance that extends to rental vehicles. Most credit-card rental coverage is not sufficient because it typically excludes off-road / sand driving. If you don’t have this coverage, you’ll need to purchase a short-term rental policy that includes off-road use.

Cancellation Policy

• 7+ days before pickup: Full refund.
• Within 7 days of pickup: $225 cancellation fee.
• Bad weather: Contact us for rescheduling or refund options. Cancellations made 72+ hours in advance are fully refundable.

Frequently Asked Pricing Questions

Are taxes and fees extra?

The advertised prices are the rental rate. Standard NC sales tax applies at checkout.

Is a security deposit required?

A $300 security hold applies for debit card payments and is released 3–7 business days after vehicle return. Credit cards do not have this hold.

Do you offer multi-week or seasonal rates?

Are gift certificates available?
